Endoscopy

Endoscopy literally means to look inside. In this procedure a sterilized fibre optic tube is introduced from the mouth into the food pipe and the hollow structure is visualized by a camera to look for any lesions.

It is usually performed to look for any stricture, ulcer, foreign body and other gastrointestinal conditions. We perform Esophagogastroduodenoscopy i.e visualization of esophagus, stomach and duodenum.
